An article by Dirk Diederich entitled ‘Analytics and quality assurance for glass production and glass finishing’ appeared in the annual magazine Werkstofftechnik 2024, published by the Institute for Scientific Publications IWV. Physical and chemical analyses accompany the entire glass production process. Many errors can occur during the process, which can be explained by glass analyses from the IGR. In the specialist journal Nachrichten aus der Chemie, issue 70, May 2022, an article entitled “Glasanalytik: Das Bunte durchblicken” an article by Dirk Diederich and Dr Hubert Drexler was published that uses blue and brown glasses to show how software can calculate spectra. The results are almost as accurate as wet chemical analyses.
