2023 - Glass - thought new

2023 - Information event - Hydrogen network also arrives in the district of Holzminden:
What role could hydrogen play as an energy source in the district of Holzminden in the future? This question was the subject of an information event - and there were some initial answers. Read an article about it here in the Täglicher Anzeiger Holzminden.
2023 - Process developed to refine solar glass:
The IGR has developed a process for refining solar glass and is also applying for this year's Göttingen Region Innovation Award with this technology. Read an article about it in the Göttinger Tageblatt here.
2022/2023 - ‘Glass Valley’ for the Weser-Leine-Harz region:
A new regional entrepreneurial alliance for innovation (RUBIN) is planned under the leadership of the IGR,
a ‘Glass Valley’ for the Weser-Leine-Harz region. Read some of the publications on this in the HNA and Göttinger Tageblatt.
- In the latest issue of the magazine ” faktor- DAS MAGAZIN FÜR ERFOLGSGESCHICHTEN”, 3/23, you will find an article about the IGR and the Glass-Valley under the title Glas neu denken.
2022/2023 - "Das Perpetuum mobile für die Glasindustrie" - "A green way to produce glass":
In cooperation with Metaliq GmbH from Dresden, the IGR has developed a concept to produce sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) and green hydrogen (H2) by electrolysis from waste, e.g. from seawater desalination plants. 2021- DGG-Information 2021-06:
In the last HVG-DGG newsletter you will find under point 3. from DGG and HVG a reference to our new services rinsing machine test according to DIN 12875, exhaust gas measurements at the HEV to prove compliance with occupational exposure limits and - accredited method for Si determination using ICP-OES. 2021 - Lecture VDG symposium in Wertheim:
At the VDG conference 2021 in Wertheim, Mr. Diederich gave a lecture on "Stresses in glass". An article about the conference appeared in the VDG-Nachrichten, here is an excerpt from the lecture.
2021 - Funding of the new IGR building:
IGR has received EU funding totalling 300,000 euros for the construction of the new IGR headquarters on the site of the former Göttingen airport. The funding decision was handed over to Managing Director Dirk Diederich by the State Commissioner Ulrike Witt on 7 July 2021. 2021 - Kooperation mit CPS Kanada - Cooperation with CPS Canada:
The Canadian raw materials specialist CPS (‘Canadian Premium Sand Inc.’) wanted to strategically realign itself and supply its sand to the flat glass industry, especially for architectural projects and solar modules. Here, too, we are pleased to have made a small contribution with our preliminary tests, including various melting trials. 21.06.21, Addition: glass international - Raw material supplier could build flat glass plant in Canada
16.07.21, Update: glass international - Canadian Premium Sand initiates engineering study into flat glass manufacturing site
2021 - others:
The GWG Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtentwicklung Göttingen mbH conducted a survey of Göttingen companies. Some statements about the GWG and Göttingen as a business location have been included as quotes on the website - the IGR is represented with two statements.
