About our logo

The focus of our logo is the SiO4 tetrahedron – the basic structure of all silicate glasses.

Logo IGR - außen 2 Pfeile als 1 Kreis zueinander zeigend (blau und grün); innen die Buchstaben I, G und R in schwarz, das G dabei innerhalb eines grünen Tetraeders

The SiO4 tetrahedron stands on one of the three vertices, each with two sides; The six sides of the three points are intended to represent the balance of raw material, melt, production, cooling, control and customers – and so the SiO4 tetrahedron also symbolizes our efficiency.

The lettering “IGR” in the middle of the tetrahedron expresses that “the customer with his wishes is at the center of our action”.

The green of the tetrahedron expresses the naturalness and health of the material glass, because only glass offers complete taste neutrality to the contents.

The two semi-circles around the SiO4tetrahedron represent environmental protection and are intended to represent air (blue) and plants (green) and the clockwise arrows signal the limitless, recurring recyclability of glass.

The two openings between the semi-circles represent, on the one hand, the melting process in the glassworks and, on the other hand, the recycling process in used glass recycling.
